Metallica - Kill 'Em All (1983)

This is actually a punk album. Not the last good Metallica album, but definitely the last cool one. What I love about this one, is that they were not taking themselves so goddamn seriously back then, and they were thrashing like motherfuckers, even though they had probably the worst drummer in metal and a very un-inventive lead guitarist... Of course Hammett, as boring and repetitive as his playing is, somehow remains one of the sole reasons that me, and a large amount of my friends, were EVER to pick up a guitar. It's still Metallica, man. Plus, it feels really good to share their music on the net for some reason.
